Waste Not, Want Not This Thanksgiving

Even if you’ve obtained the fixings for the meal, invited the guests, cleaned up the house, and all the other stuff one does for this annual fest, you still don’t have to be gluttons of waste, just because t’s the holidays.

A useful article that I just ran across, Nine Ways To A Food Waste-Free Thanksgiving, from the Food Tank website, is key to helping you see how to keep a disposable mindset at bay. I heartily recommend that you take a few minutes to check it out before Thursday morning.

Bigger isn’t always better, and spending more monies don’t put more meaning into the day.

The main components: 1) Planning—the menu, purchasing, etc.; and 2) Portion Control—quit heaping up one’s plate to show plenty. Appreciation for a meal is not shown by gluttony. It’s not about the plate; it’s the people, the memories, the connections that are made that remind us to be thankful more than just this ONE day, but everyday…….
