The Power of Many As One United Voice

On this Labor Day, I’ve been reflecting and particularly grateful for all the positive changes that organized labor has brought about for our society –basically, in the last 100 years.

Things we now take for granted, such as weekends, child labor laws, grievance practices, and parental leave, to name a few, came about through a massive show of individuals who refused to be silenced in the face of a diminished quality ofwork life. They not only “greened” the world for their generation—but for all of those to follow on a global level.  Let’s pause for a moment to say “thanks”—not only on the first Monday in September, but every day of the week.
