These Songs Are Our Songs

As the holiday of the 234th birthday of the United States of America winds down, another aspect of our diversity is the wide range of music that celebrates the uniqueness and wonder of who we are. A few days ago on the NPR site, an extensive playlist of representative selections was posted for one’s listening pleasure. Of course, not everything that could be posted got on, but it’s still a pretty good mix of tunes.

Listed under the Music section, it’s titled “A Mix For America, and you can spend the time spent at your computer today reveling in all sort of melodies that were “born in the USA.” [Thanks, Bruce Springsteen!]
